ACDC
St. John's, NL
A rag team of performers trying to make sense of our chaotic society. Nothing makes sense anymore, so why pretend it does? After all, it is better to laugh than to cry in your bed rot. If you were to put doom scrolling on stage, that's essentially us.

Big Chick Energy
Toronto, ON
The Chicks have lost their ENERGY! What could have stolen it? Capitalism? People? Low iron? An all-consuming bullet journal that reminds you that, no matter what you do, you’re never going to be perfect?!?! One thing’s for sure, The Chicks are gonna fight to get from lethargy to energy! So clap and laugh for us in our brand new 2025 sketch revue, so we don’t fade away and die! ...But otherwise we’re fine, how are you?

Cam Wylie
Toronto, ON
Cam Wyllie is Canada's beloved Sketch Comedy Maniac, with 3 Canadian Comedy Award Nominations, Festival Appearances all over North America, and a bunch of Comedy Awards with made up sounding names. He's coming in hot with a carefully curated selection of brave, tragic, and gleefully dumb characters who, like him, are just trying to do their best. Armed with a passable singing voice, a can do attitude, and the odd tinfoil prop, he'll give you plenty of reasons to laugh, cheer, and get invested. Open your heart to the hilarious, often surreal, and always unpredictable world of Cam Wyllie.

CHAPS
Washington, D.C.
Grab your mustache curlers and tighten your suspenders - a jaunty night of feminist farce and vaudevillian mischief awaits! This women lead comedy show features a fast paced lineup of high energy sketches created with Chaps' signature blend of absurdity, black humor, and a heaping dose of physical comedy.

Cheap Wine
Toronto, ON
Cheap Wine is family. For real, they are in-laws. As in they spend holidays together and two of them have the same parents and two of them have a prenup. Try to figure out who is what to who, how much is based on real life, and if spending this much time together is healthy. "The perfect mix of deadpan and whackadoodle", Cheap Wine is Jack Creaghan, Jesse McQueen & Charlotte Creaghan. They won Sketchiest Sketch Troupe at Toronto Sketchfest 2023 and have performed all around Toronto, NYC, at Montréal Sketchfest, and in various film festivals with their award-winning digital comedy.
We’re honoured to celebrate the one and only Andy Jones as this year’s Festival Ambassador at NL Sketch Fest!
But what is a Festival Ambassador? It’s a title we created to honour a comedian from Newfoundland and Labrador who has made a lasting impact on the comedy scene, someone who has paved the way for other artists and even this festival itself.
The honouree is chosen by the NL Sketch Fest Board & Organizing Team and represents the spirit of community - supporting local artists, amplifying new voices, and inspiring generations of comedians.

Collin and Syed
St. John's, NL
How do mental illnesses feel about each other? What’s an ethical way to culture-vulture? How many eggs is too many eggs? Is god real? Probably not, but we like structure. Join Collin and Syed as they avoid these questions and make jokes instead. Brutally honest, self-aware, and with a focus on fun, Syed and Collin are excited to present and perform more sketch for your viewing pleasure. [PLEASE READ IN ORC VOICE] ‘Irony is back on the menu, boys.’

Doug Boyce
St. John's, NL
Doug Boyce is an internationally recognized paleontologist, specializing in trilobite fossils. Originally from Saint John, New Brunswick, he moved to St. John's and obtained a B.Sc. (Honours) and M.Sc. in Geology from Memorial University. Boyce was the Provincial Paleontologist at the Geological Survey of Newfoundland and Labrador from late June, 1984 to July 31, 2023. In 1998, his love of theatre was rekindled, after a 23 year hiatus. Since then, he's been a fixture on the local theatre scene.

Ezra L. Rutherford III
St. John's, NL
The year is 1980 and Ezra L. Rutherford III is on top of the world. But somehow being a war-hero, real estate tycoon, and celebrity philanthropist isn't enough. Ezra sets his sights on a long forgotten dream of becoming a pop star.

Güd Productions
St. John's, NL
the world is not my oyster. the grass is dead on both sides. my pillow has no cold side. life gave me fucking limes. i am not living, i am not laughing, i am not loving. in fact, im not doing 2 güd. im not doing 2 güd, an exploration of what it means to live, to breathe, to exist today on this floating sphere of water, air, and shit. the world is not my oyster. the grass is dead on both sides. my pillow has no cold side. life gave me fucking limes. i am not living, i am not laughing, i am not loving. in fact, im not doing 2 güd. im not doing 2 güd, an exploration of what it means to live, to breathe, to exist today on this floating sphere of water, air, and shit.

It's Not a Stage, Mom
St. John's, NL
The presentation will be a select offering of Pilk's sketches, performed by several actors, on a sparse and efficient play area. Pilk's Madhouse will be a celebration of the works of Henry Pilk. "Who is real in this Hall of Mirrors?" asks Pilk. Will we discover the answer as we meet "The Man Who Tossed Himself Off", or perhaps the Reverend Pleasure ? Madness and mayhem will thrive as we dive into the the depths of Pilk's mind and arrive at the answer "As Foretold in My Dreams". Who is Real in This Hall of Mirrors indeed?

Itty Bitty Skitty Committee
St. John's, NL
We have a particular set of skills. Skills we have acquired over a very long career. It's bits. Itty bitty skits. Solo sketch comedians unite for a not so solo sketch show. We’re here, we’re queer, and we’re very sensitive so please be nice to us, okay? Come for the possibility of juggling and bagpipes, stay for the certainty of bits!

Jorbo the Clown
Torbay, NL
One man enters. Wrestles with himself. You fear for his safety

Mom's Girls
St. John's, NL
Going to a Mom's Girls show is like going to Thomas Amusements with your friends in Junior High. Your mom gives you $30 and says, "Have fun, kid." Our shows include pop culture references, music parody, impressions, political commentary, and comedy that is accessible no matter the audience.

Nkasi Ogbonnah
Toronto, ON
Get ready for Intelligent, acerbic and weirdly gentle comedy! Tackling relevant social issues through the eyes of an angry Black woman, that has every reason to be angry. You'll probably be mentally hit with snapshots of historical figures, and outer space, presented by someone with the physicality of a former rhythmic gymnast(I can't stress the word 'former' enough). If Kamala Harris did comedy, and was Canadian, this would be her show. And as Kamala says “Mr. Vice President, I’m speaking.”

No Vowels
St. John's, NL
Your favourite quartet is back - and they are barely hanging on. After a breakout performance at NL Sketchfest 2024 followed by an award-winning run at Halifax Fringe, No Vowels has finally hit a wall. It’s hard being the darlings of Atlantic Canadian theatre, and the pressures of success have really taken a toll. Sophomore Slump is an existential marvel: alarmingly stupid, cerebral in ways that nobody asked for, and breaks the fourth wall so often it might as well be performed in the audience. Please be easy on them - the second movie is never as good as the first.

Pourquoi-Pas? Players
St. John's, NL
Our style is literary and historical silliness — taking the kinds of things academics spend their lives studying with the utmost seriousness, and finding the most absurd angle. Last year it was the gothic classics and Sir Francis Drake, and this year we're skewering the time-honoured practice of duelling, the buying of indulgences, and quite possibly the Loch Ness Monster!

Sam Chaulk
St. John's, NL
Gladys was a lounge singer who died tragically in the 1940’s - just as her career was plateauing. Now, she spends her afterlife as a spectral figure, appearing in venues and theatres to perform her tired set of jazz standards - then vanishes. Join Gladys as she tries to work out whether she is being eternally punished, or rewarded, or whether she’s a ghost, or in purgatory, or what - all while tapping your toes to overdone tunes sung by a mediocre mezzo-soprano.

Sarah Conway
Vancouver, BC
In her solo act, Sarah Conway presents sketch comedy, clown, and burlesque through the female gaze to create performances that have been described as “clown for hot people” (Glenys Marshall, 2023). She explores big concepts like feminism, sexuality, and wealth inequality through abundantly silly means. Sarah balances social commentary and delight, embracing fun for fun’s sake. Her comedic voice uses logic to loosely cover deep emotional truths and fears. Sarah reaches for low-hanging fruit on a sky-high ladder. If you love costume gags and Maggie Nelson, this is the show for you.

Shaye Murray
St. John's, NL
In 2007, Apple CEO Steve Jobs revealed on stage a product that would change the world forever, the iPhone. In 2025, visionary comedian Shaye Murray will reveal a revolutionary approach to relationships that has been years in development. In this pitch-perfect parody of tech keynotes, watch as polyamory gets reimagined as the next must-have innovation.

Sketches Are For People
St. John's, NL
Prepare yourself for some sketchy street humour. You’ve seen their enchanting graphs and engaging posts about bike lanes and zoning laws. Now, you get to watch your favourite urban advocacy non-profit get silly on stage! Our show features a carefully curated mixture of Very Good Jokes and thoughtful reflections on how we engage with the town around us. Join us as we stage a fight of ideas between characters who see different visions for their shared urban space – we promise we will make at least one joke.

The Four Idiots
St. John's, NL
DON'T CHANGE THE CHANNEL! The Idiots are stuck in the TV. Watch as the gang flips through your TV guide; stumbling through sitcoms, news broadcasts, soap operas and more as they try to find their way back out of the screen. Recline your lazy boys, relax and enjoy the show - which is DEFINITELY NOT a pitch for their own TV show.

Toad Walk
Corner Brook, NL
The main highlight of a Toad Walk show is the colourful characters the sketches bring to life. While our preferred themes vary from Greek mythology, to New York stereotypes, to the Grim Reaper's journey of self, the crux of most all our sketches is a foolish character or two. You can expect satire and parody, but nonsense above all.
